Employment law

Employment law is about the rights and obligations of employers and employees. From employment contracts and dismissal procedures, to illness, compensation and inappropriate behaviour. We assist both employers and employees, including in disputes or negotiations.

A good understanding of every facet of the relationship between employer and employee, and, by extension, the relationship between client and contractor and between the statutory director and the company, is indispensable for sound advice.
We provide solid employment contracts with tailored non-competition clauses, termination options and the like. We often do so in the media: for talent, broadcaster or producer.

We also shape the services agreement with the freelancer and the self-employed contractor, and provide sound management agreements. In these we give attention to all intellectual property aspects.

And in conflicts we act clearly and decisively. Because of our businesslike and professional approach, conflicts rarely get out of hand. If they do, we litigate correctly and in a businesslike way. That achieves more than lashing out blindly would. For the court, after all, the case is one of very many: the court is not impressed by drama, but by facts and sound arguments, because those are what it uses in reaching its decision.
